LEGENDS isn’t a CBD company, we are a SPORTS company, founded, owned, and run by ATHLETES. Every decision we make is based on what’s best for YOU, and we are qualified to do this, because WE ARE YOU!
In 2018 both the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) removed CBD from their prohibited list for both in and out of competition. Organizations which comply with WADA policies include all International Federations, as well as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and more than 200 US anti-doping agencies. Athletes can legally consume CBD in the US, as long as it has been extracted from hemp plants. When extracted from hemp, CBD oil contains less than 0.3% THC, and is not considered a controlled substance by the federal government.
WADA’s current threshold for THC is 150 nanograms (ng) per millilitre (ml), which is tested via a urine test. CBD adhering to the US federal requirement of containing no more than 0.3% THC is compliant with WADA, which is why we use a rigorous six phase independent testing protocol to provide our customers with the confidence that Legends products are safe for use in sport and athletic competitions.
It is important that all athletes carefully review the regulations associated with the competitions and sporting events they participate in.
CBD extracted from Hemp cannot get you high because hemp does not contain THC, so you can’t get high from the CBD extracted from Hemp. This is very important, as this form of CBD is non-psychoactive and you just get the CBD Oil effects without the negative side effects of THC. In fact, it’s just the opposite, as many people report actually feeling more mental clarity when taking CBD derived from Hemp.
Like all cannabinoids, CBD interacts with your body through its native endocannabinoid system, or ECS. Present in all mammalian species, including humans, the endocannabinoid system is a complex signaling network responsible for establishing and maintaining health by regulating many of the body’s natural functions, including
- Immune response
Plant-derived cannabinoids like CBD, found in hemp and marijuana, mimic many of the biological actions of the endocannabinoids that are synthesized by the body. Like endocannabinoids, CBD interacts with the cannabinoid receptors as the endocannabinoid system works to keep your body and its functions in homeostasis.
Thousands of studies have been done investigating CBD and the natural balancing effects from its interaction with the endocannabinoid system.
CBD is a compound found in cannabis that has many potential benefits. CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is the second most prevalent of all cannabinoids. This cannabinoid can be extracted from either marijuana or hemp plants and it does not produce any type of psychoactive effects like THC, the first most prevalent cannabinoid.
One of the biggest benefits that CBD offers is the ability to help with pain management. This isn’t anything new, and cultures have been using cannabis to treat pain for quite a long time, dating back to 2900 B.C. It’s only recently, since marijuana has been legalized, that research indicates that CBD plays a large role in that.
Another benefit of consuming CBD is that it is effective at reducing anxiety, as well as depression and the symptoms of PTSD. One of the reasons why CBD has become popular as a method of treatment is because conventional medications that are being used often cause a few side effects, such as headaches, agitation, insomnia, drowsiness, and more. CBD on the other hand doesn’t cause these side effects.
If you are someone that has trouble sleeping or falling asleep, then you will be pleased to know that CBD is effective at improving the quality of your sleep. You might be surprised to learn that sleeping disorders are more common than you think, with around 70 million Americans being affected by them.
Isolate is CBD in its purest form. It’s refined to strip out any additional cannabinoids, terpenes or plant components and the final product is a fine powder that has no taste or odor. We use this form of CBD in our Pro Line of products to guarantee no one will test positive for THC.
Terpenes are organic compounds in plants responsible for the smell and taste of cannabis.
There are many factors that go in to how CBD impacts the body, and how much you should take. We recommend starting with a lower dose around 25mg per serving a couple times a day, but to make it easier to understand, here is a like to the CBD dosage calculator on Daily CBD website.
