SULEM URBINA
Sulem was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, in July 1990 and immigrated with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of five. When Urbina turned 10, her two older brothers introduced her to boxing. In 2013, after the unexpected death of her brother and boxing teammate, Alexis Urbina, Sulem vowed to continue boxing for him and left her family to pursue an Olympic dream that she and her brother had together. She dedicates all her victories to Alexis.
